Math Blog  Grapes of Math by Greg Tang is a playful, story-like adventure through the pages of this book. It will challenge your students to come up with different ways to problem solve in unexpected ways.  An example from the book will explain this "mind-stretching" book of math riddles.  "I stroll along the vineyard path, and there I see the grapes of math! Over head the sun is blazin', soon each grape will be a raisin. How many grapes are on the vine? Counting each takes too much time. Never fear, I have a hunch. There is a match for every bunch."  The Grapes of Math is great way to expose your students to patterns, symmetry, and similar number combinations. In the classroom, you can utilize this book to have a fun read aloud with your students. Work together to problem solve different ways. Science Blog Faces on the Moon by Bob Crelin is a fun and information book of the different faces of the moon. Science is my favorite subject, there are so many informational books that you can use for teaching about space and our solar system. As a student in elementary school I can't say that I remember learning about the faces of the moon until about 8th grade. This book is set for 4th grade students. The style of writing that Crelin has provided is very playful and poetic like. It rhymes and has easier ways of explaining to the students the different faces and what time of the day that you would experience to see something like that. The illustrations of this book are done by Leslie Evans and they depict a different way of interpreting the story with the colorful and detailed pictures.
